September 2020 IEET received unanimous votes and was advanced to the Canberra Accord as a Full Signatory.
June 2014 IEET received unanimous votes and was advanced to the Sydney Accord as a Full Signatory.
June 2009 IEET received unanimous votes and was advanced to the Seoul Accord as a Full Signatory.
June 2007 IEET received unanimous votes and was advanced to the Washington Accord as a Full Signatory.
September 2003 The Ministry of Education chartered IEET as the sole window for contact in issues relate to accreditation of engineering and technology education programs.
June 2003 The Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) was founded as an independent, not-for-profit, organization with accreditation of engineering and technology programs as the primary function. The first president elected was Dr. Che-Ho Wei.
January 2003 During the National Engineering Education Conference (also known as Conference of Presidents and Deans of Engineering/Technology Universities and Institutes), a consensus on the idea of starting a new organization to coordinate and promote engineering and technology education was reached. A working team, headed by Dr. Yeong-Bin Yang, was established.
